As an owner or operator of a low-cost air quality sensor, also called air quality monitor (IQAir, PurpleAir, Clarity Node-S, or other), you’ve already taken action to help provide hyper-local air quality information, improve public awareness and provide air quality data to policy advocates and local residents. By creating an account, registering your device, and making it public, you can establish a contributor profile on the IQAir platform.
What is a contributor profile?
A contributor profile contains a summary about the contributor and lists all the sensors that they operate. A contributor profile also contains contributor name, logo, number of followers, website link, social media links, and real-time readings from contributor-operated air quality sensors.
Contributor profiles help credit contributors for a station’s data, while also helping to increase visibility for a contributor’s monitoring project or mission.
Contributor profiles are visible and linked via the contributor’s name and logo, both on the IQAir website and the IQAir AirVisual app.
Who can establish a contributor profile?
Anyone who contributes outdoor air quality data on the IQAir platform, can create a contributor profile. This includes owners of IQAir, PurpleAir, Clarity Node-S, or beta attenuation monitors.
How can I find a contributor profile?
Contributor profiles are searchable in the IQAir app and website using the search bar, and discoverable on individual station pages, directly below the top real-time air quality and weather widget.
Example: Using the IQAir app and website search bar to find the “Utopia Fiber” contributor page:

For IQAir website, once logged into the IQAir website, find and click on your profile icon so that a drop-down menu appears. On the new page, click the ‘Profile’ tab in the new top menu bar. Then, find the ‘Edit profile’ button in the right-hand corner, as pictured below.
